| Facility Description | The studio, formerly a vacant house, is located in the historic are where traditional houses with “udatsu” walls are preserved. Home-stay accommodation is provided to artists. |
| Access | By bus (from the Meitetsu Bus Center at “Nagoya” station): Take the bus bound to “Mino City” station and get off at Ogura Koen Mae bus stop. (1hour 40 minutes) |
| History | In 1997, this program was inaugurated as an artist in residence program supported by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Since 2002, the program has been administered by Mino City. |

| Program Objective | The program aims to promote paper art and local culture through the exchange between the artists and the citizens. Artists are provided with an opportunity to work with Mino paper, a traditional craft with 1,300 years of history. |
| Program Activities | The program invites artists from all over the world. The resident artists stay at local volunteers’ homes and create artworks using Mino paper. Opportunities for community exchange is available through school workshops and exhibitions. |
