Outline of Facility	We refurbished a former workers’ dormitory to use as a residential facility exclusively for artists. CCO（Creative Center OSAKA） is also available for creative activities. (It is negotiable.) AIR Osaka is available for CCO event staff and users, as well as those who are working on creative activities in Kansai area (Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, etc.). * Each facility will charge for use. * Discount for long-term users is available. - Common space: Toilets, bathroom, kitchen, living room - Shared facilities: Pay washing machine, cookware, table ware, PC (the Internet connection and wireless LAN within the building are available) For details, please visit the offical website. * The imminent environment of the facility Supermarkets, convenient stores, Do-It-Yourself store and a public bath are in the neighborhood. There are also many good restaurants.
Access	5-minute walk from No. 4 exit of Kitakagaya station of Yotsubashi subway line (Approximately 20 minutes (fee: ¥270) from JR Osaka Station Midosuji subway line: Umeda station -> change at Daikokucho station for Yotsubashi line ->Kitakagaya station）
Circumstances up to the Start of Project	"AIR Kyoto" in Nijo, Kyoto, was closed in December 2007 due to expiration of the contract with a landlord. Based on the know-how acquired in AIR Kyoto, AIR Osaka started its activity in June 2008. Hotel business license was approved in June 2008.

Purpose of Project	To support the stay of artists, event staff, and people involved in art whose activities are scheduled in Kansai area (stay at AIR Osaka, exhibition of artworks, etc.) To promote creation of art and release of information from Namura and Kansai To provide a site for information exchange and communication among artists and residents in the art world To provide a site for residents in the community to be familiar with art

Project Records

Currently, monthly events are being held.
Events include film screening, flea markets, exhibiting performances and works by artists who are staying at or being involved in AIR Osaka. These events facilitate communication among artists, people in the community and volunteer staffs.
