Breaking Out of the Comfort Zone:reconnecting with japanese americans
 -beyond 100 years of emigration-

The Japanese American Leadership Symposium is organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership (CGP) as part of its joint project with Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The Japanese American Leadership Delegation Program (JALD).

This year's theme is titled “Breaking Out of the Comfort Zone: Role of Education in the Era of Global Competition”. We will invite three Japanese American leaders who contribute greatly both in their respective fields of work and community, to discuss the role of education in nurturing global citizens with moderator, Mr. Shingo Ashizawa, and coordinator, Ms. Irene Hirano Inouye who has led the Delegation since the inception of the program. Panelists will also share their personal histories and their thoughts on identities as Japanese Americans.

We invite you to join our lively discussion , which we hope will further strengthen the ties of Japanese Americans and Japanese, as well as the relationship of our two countries.
