370,000 people in 66 countries and regions to take the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test. The number of applicants has increased by over 30% in Vietnam and Myanmar.

The Japan Foundation conducts the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) on Sunday, December 7, 2014 in 209 cities of 65 countries outside Japan. With a history of 30 years, JLPT is the largest comprehensive test of Japanese-language skills for non-native speakers and has been taken by 7,559,827 examinees so far.
