Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now

The Japan Foundation Asia Center, the National Art Center, Tokyo, and Mori Art Museum will jointly present SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now exhibition from Wednesday, July 5 to Monday, October 23, 2017.

This will be one of the largest Southeast Asian contemporary art exhibitions in history. The three parties came together for this first-ever joint exhibition that has selected approximately 180 artworks by 86 artists/groups from 10 ASEAN member countries as a result of the two-and-a-half-year-long field research conducted in the region, and are to exhibit them in two separate venues.
