Japan Pop Culture Festival

From July 2 to 5, 2009, The Japan Cultural Institute in Paris hosted Japan Pop Culture Festival to introduce multifaceted perspectives of Japanese pop culture, including Japanese animation and fashion that receive high popularity among the younger generation internationally.

The Japan Foundation researched and launched the AIR_J website in both Japanese and English. AIR_J website provides information on AIR programs in Japan with the latest information of AIR programs in Japan and abroad.
Since the interest in Japanese pop culture has been growing all over the world, The Japan Foundation has asked Ms. Midori Matsui, an art critic, to curate the exhibition.
