Making My Name Is Red-Turkish Writer Orhan Pamuk will Talk


Turkish well-known writer Orhan Pamuk will talk on the occasion for publishing his book in Japanese for the first time.

Orhan Pamuk is the author of eight novels and a recipient of major Turkish and international literaly awards such as the Turkish Orhan Kemal literary prize(1982), the French Prix Du Meilleur Livre Etranger, the Italian Grinzane Cavour (2002) and the International IMPAC Dublin literary award (2003). He is the most prominent European novelists and his work has been translated into more than thirty languages.

For the first translation in Japanese, his sixth novel My Name Is Red was chosen. It has been a bestseller not only in Turkey but also in Great Britain and the United States.
