4. Obligations
To make two presentations during the conference:

 

−Presentation 1
A 10 minute introduction on the background of the individuals' curatorial practice and context within which s/he works. Institutional curators may also wish to include some background on the mission statement and programming of their institution / organisation. This may include the collection of the institution, exhibition and collection strategies and other research/public/education programmes

 

−Presentation 2
A 20 minute presentation on a subject related to the topics outlined in the concept note. Participants may choose to use the power point slide format or any other format that suits the presentation content. These presentations will be part of a round-table discussion that will take place in several sessions over the course of each day.

 

Topics include:

a. Political Curation: Audiences v/s Publics

b. Historicizing Art Events, Archives and Collections

c. Design and the Spaces of Curation

d. Alternative Art and Curation

 

5. Financial provisions

Organizers

• Local transportation cost, including airport transfer in New Delhi on October 18 only, but excluding airport transfer in Bangalore
• Coordination of site visits and logistics during the conference

Participants

• International/domestic airfare (Airport of embarkation -- New Delhi -- Bangalore --Airport of disembarkation)
• Accommodation (New Delhi 9,200JPY per night + Bangalore 10,350JPY per night))
• Local transportation outside the transportation between designated sites in the program
• Meals, except for one official dinner and one official lunch during the program
• Travel insurance
• Per diem

6-1. Transportation
-Flight
The participants are expected to arrange for their own flights:

The organizers will book the hotels on behalf of the participants. The participants are asked to pay the amount when checking in.

6-3. Miscellaneous

(1) Participants who wish to travel with their partners and/or children are asked to consult the organizers beforehand. (The organizers will cover the local transportation fee of the participant only).

(2) The organizers will not bear any responsibility of the participants before the arrival in New Delhi on October 18 and after the closing of the conference on October 22.
