19th Call for Papers
CONTRIBUTION GUIDELINES
CONTRIBUTION GUIDELINES
The Japan Foundation would like to announce a general
call for papers from around the globe for Vol. 19 of
Japanese-Language
Education around the Globe, an academic journal for those who are interested
in Japanese-language education as a foreign or a second language.
The journal has two sections for paper contributions: the academic paper section and the practical/current-status report section. These sections differ in content.
"When you contribute your paper, please read the style guidelines, distributed separately, and note on the designated sheet the section to which you wish to contribute, the academic section or the practical/current-status report section. We look forward to reading your manuscript.
1. Eligibility
Anyone who is interested in Japanese-language education is qualified to submit papers. Contributions from non-native speakers of Japanese are especially welcome. In order to include papers from as many different contributors as possible, those who wrote papers for the 18th issue (including co-authors) may not contribute to the 19th issue.
2. Content
Only unpublished papers in one of the sections described below will be accepted.
Each contributor can contribute to one section only. Double submissions are forbidden.
(Please do not send duplicates of papers sent to other publications.) Ideally,
the papers should be useful to people not only in the country where the author
resides but in other countries as well.

Papers on practices of curriculum, class activities, evaluation and
so on, in the field of Japanese-language education. Papers should give concrete
and clear description of their aims and content in order to contribute to future
educational activities or those of another country/region/field.

Papers from a creative perspective focusing on a specific time, field, and method are required, rather than survey reports or summaries.
