q How was the Japanese-Language program?

A The program was a great experience for everyone. We were able to practice our Japanese as well as deepen our understanding of Japanese culture through the classes and the study trip. I made many new friends from countries all over the world whom I otherwise would have never met. None of us will ever forget the enjoyable times we've had in this program.

Q How was your life in Japan?

A Life in Japan was definitely different from home. It was very intriguing, learning and experiencing the Japanese culture and traditions of everyday life. Everything was very convenient― from the placing of the vending machines to the high technology of Japan. The Japanese people are also all very kind and enthusiastic. During the two weeks, it had been interesting to note all the similarities and differences between our country and Japan. It can be hard to understand life in Japan until someone actually experiences it for themselves.

Q Advice for future participants, please.(e.g. any suggestion for preparation for coming to Japan?)

A There will be many activities for you to do in the day so be sure to get a good sleep every night or you will be exhausted the next morning! There are also many opportunities for shopping so remember to leave room in your bags for souvenirs. During the high school visit, it will also be helpful to bring a couple of photos since the students there will all be very curious about you and the part of the world you came from.
