This program is intended to offer outstanding students of Japanese language at high schools abroad the opportunity to visit Japan and to deepen their knowledge of the Japanese language, culture, and society through lectures and study tours etc. (This program is not open to general application. Countries from which participants are invited, and the number of the students requested to be recommended, will be decided by the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai.)

 

Contents of the Program

(1) Japanese Language and Culture & Society Classes:
Language & Culture of the Youth, Introduction to Geography & History of Japan, Introduction to Osaka Dialect, Japanese Word Processing, Songs of Japan, Conversation, Preparation for the Final Presentation, etc.

(2) Study Trip and Exchange Activities:
Study Trip (to Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto), Visiting High school, Home stay, Exploring downtown Osaka with Japanese high school students, etc.

(3) Cultural Activities:
Calligraphy, Tea Ceremony, Flower Arrangement, Aikido, Wearing Summer Kimono, etc.
