Hiroko Takahashi was born in 1977. She founded the company, HIROCOLEDGE Co., Ltd. in 2006, and received her doctorate in Fine Arts from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 2008. Her works often consist of circle and straight lines only - characteristics of her expression. Conceptually, she aims to change stereotypical ideas existing in daily life and provoke new ways of thinking. In a sense, those of her attempts and activities themself turn to be a series of "artworks". She also works on various projects such as "HIROCOLEDGE", an experiment involving collaborations with craftsmen of many different skills.
