Asia Students Package Design Competition (ASPaC) 2017

The Japan Foundation hereby introduces the prominent award winners announced on December 4, 2017.

Ms. Wong Soon-Wey's group, from National Taiwan University of Arts, won the Grand Prize. They produced a sake container whose title is “Melting Stone.” What is remarkable is that the container has a glass bottle inside, fixed by wax. When pouring hot water into the container, the spontaneous and beautiful pattern of wax appears on the surface of the bottle, which enables us to enjoy hot sake at the same time.

While the process of shaping the idea itself can be said as a challenge, it was highly evaluated that the process can produce a sense of excitement to become the unique bottle.
