Korea-Japan contemporary art exhibition “Artist File 2015: Next Doors” at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (Gwacheon)

The Japan Foundation’s co-organized exhibition “Artist File 2015 Next Doors: Contemporary Art in Japan and Korea,” which was held at the National Art Center, Tokyo (NACT) from July to October 2015, travels to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA) in Gwacheon in November. This exhibition is co-curated by NACT and MMCA to present six contemporary artists from each country as a collection of twelve solo exhibitions in total. As 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, we sincerely hope this Korea edition becomes an opportunity to bring Japanese contemporary art close to the Korean audience and encourage further exchange between these countries through visual art activities.
