"Roots": Exhibition of Asian Architecture

¥ 2,500,000
With an Asia Center grant, the Committee, which consisted of architects, city planners and architectural historians, held an Asian architectural exhibition in Tokyo of models, drawings and photographs that exemplified Asian culture, history, and values through the medium of architecture. The organizers selected the work of architects who play an active role in Asia, who possess a distinctively Asian style in their work, and who have the potential to contribute to a new era of Asian architecture. Architects from India and Malaysia were invited to a symposium in Tokyo that was held in conjunction with the exhibition.
