Job Announcements from Beijing Center for Japanese Studies

Beijing Foreign Studies University is now recruiting faculty members for Beijing Center for Japanese Studies with one of the specialty areas of (1) Japanese Society, (2) Japanese Economy or (3) Japanese Literature.

The Beijing Center for Japanese Studies was established in 1985, under the agreement between the Japan Foundation and the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the Government of the People's Republic of China, and offers Master's degree and Ph.D. courses of Japanese Studies.

The Japan Foundation, as the joint-operator of the Center, is pleased to share these job announcements especially with potential candidates outside of the People's Republic of China.

Field of Specialty: Sociology

(2) Japanese Economy

Japanese Economy

Field of Specialty: Economics
Applicant with background of Mathematical economics and Econometrics is welcomed.

(3) Japanese Literature

Japanese Literature

Field of Specialty: Japanese Literature
Applicant specialized to kanbun literature especially in Edo Period is welcomed.

3. Qualifications

The below-mentioned requirements are mandatory for all three positions.

  • To have nationality of People's Republic of China.
  • To have a Ph.D. degree
  • Be capable to conduct education and research work both in Chinese and in Japanese
