The 59th International Speech Contest in Japanese

The Japan Foundation, in cooperation with International Education Center and Iki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, hosted the 59th International Speech Contest in Japanese held on May 26, 2018.
12 participants from 11 countries were chosen out of 105 contestants from 27 countries/regions in the preliminary round to participate in the Contest.
The participants made impressive speeches on what they thought and how they felt through their daily lives in Japan and interacted with Japanese people.
The recipients of respective awards are as follows:
