	Welcome to the Japanese-Language Institute, Urawa! Here at our Institute, we offer training programs for Japanese-language teachers abroad so that they can improve their Japanese-language proficiency, attain teaching methodologies, and learn about Japanese culture and society. The Institute is the only one of its kind in the world that offers such training. Every year, we invite about 500 people to participate in our programs and since our opening we have had over 5,000 participants study at the Institute. The Institute also produces and distributes Japanese-language teaching materials to schools and institutions abroad. I hope that our web site will be helpful to those who have a special interest in Japanese-language education abroad as well as those who are interested in the Japanese-language or Japanese-language education in general.
