| Description |
A sequel to "Yan and
the Japanese People," this set of video teaching materials (13 episodes,
each 6-12 minutes long) presents Yan's further adventures in an old
Tokyo working-class neighborhood setting. The episodes incorporate
charming seasonal elements from autumn to spring, and depict the human
nature and feelings characteristic of this old-town area. Supplementary
teaching materials that accompany the tapes include three texts (a
teacher's manual in Japanese, another teacher's manual in English,
and scenarios in both Japanese and English) and two sound-track tapes.
This set is the source for skits used in "Let's Learn Japanese Basic
II," a television course presently being broadcast in English-speaking
countries. |
