The "Photo Panel Collection" Series I-V for use in Japanese-language education is a favorite teaching material thanks to its stunning photographs, which introduce students to all aspects of Japanese life. The entire collection is now available on a single CD-ROM (Windows/Macintosh compatible) including sound, a search function, and English translations. The CD-ROM can even be viewed on PCs without Japanese fonts, and includes easy-to-use search functions for panels depicting Japanese objects, events, and the lives of Japanese people. It is highly recommended for use in conjunction with the existing "Photo Panel Collection" series(published in March 2000).

Features

[Four language modes]
Choose from four different language modes for the screen display in accordance with users' command of Japanese and study goals; "Kanji (kanji and kana; no furigana); "Kana (kana and kanji with furigana); "Romaji"; or "English."

[Two search options]
Choose from two search options - "Contents" and "Keyword" - to search panels in all the series from I-V.Use the "Contents" search to find the panel you want to look at from the table of contents. Use the "Keyword" search to find panels associated with a particular keyword (name of an object, word expressing an action (verb), etc.) (Photo 1)

[Sound]
Sound is available for "Vocabulary" (Series I and V only) and "Explanation" features (all series) as they appear on the screen.

The tool also has numerous other functions, including enlarged photograph display and a search option for panels depicting everyday activities of Japanese people (Photo 2).This makes it ideal for introducing new vocabulary or talking about Japan.
