◇Japanese Architecture and Art Exhibitions open at Centre Pompidou-Metz, France in Autumn 2017
The Japan Foundation and Centre Pompidou-Metz will present two large-scale exhibitions at the Centre in Metz, France, opening in autumn 2017.The two exhibitions function as preludes for the Japonismes 2018 program, which aims at raising French interest in Japanese society and culture.

◇“Yoga: Modern Western Paintings of Japan” Exhibition in Taipei City, Taiwan Explores the 100-year History of Japanese Western Paintings
The Japan Foundation co-organizes the exhibition “Yoga: Modern Western Paintings of Japan” in Taipei City, Taiwan with Museum of National Taipei University of Education, The University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts, and Japan Art Dealers Association.

The Japan Foundation Asia Center and TodaysArt JAPAN/AACTOKYO will organize an open-call workshop, BioCamp: Gardens as 'Biotechnik,' bringing together participants from Japan and all over the world on the theme of art, biotechnology, and culture.

◇Partner Program with WSK Festival 2017 Exhibition "INTERSTICES: Manifolds of the In-between"
The Japan Foundation Asia Center now presents a special exhibition and music program in association with WSK: Festival of the Recently Possible, which has been held in Manila since 2009. Featuring artists from Japan and the Philippines whose work demonstrates unique approaches enhanced by technology, the exhibition "INTERSTICES: Manifolds of the In-between" explores various interdisciplinary forms of media and art such as video, sound, sculpture, graphic design, and performance.

◇Asia Leadership Fellow Program 2017 Public Forum
The 2017 ALFP fellows will share their thoughts on the current situation in their countries and issues they have been working on both prior to and throughout their two-month stay in Japan. These include the protection of cultural heritage, inequality and health issues among youths, problems surrounding caste, gender, and politics, the role of media, and much more in the Asian region.
