Support Programs for Performing Arts

The Japan Foundation provides various support programs for performing arts, such as “Grant Program for Dispatching Artists and Cultural Specialists,” “Performing Arts Japan for North America” and “Performing Arts Japan for Europe.”

Grant Program for Dispatching Artists and Cultural Specialists

The Japan Foundation supports artists and Japanese culture specialists who participate in cultural events (e.g., performing arts, demonstrations, lectures, and workshops) overseas with the aim of introducing Japanese arts and culture or of contributing to international society through arts and cultural projects.

Performing Arts Japan (PAJ)
(※This program has been terminated as of FY 2021)

Performing Arts Japan (PAJ) had provided financial assistance to Japan-related performing art projects in the U.S.A. and Canada (PAJ North-America) or Europe (PAJ Europe) that aim to introduce Japanese performing arts to local audiences in these areas, or to facilitate exchange between leading artists in Japan and North America or Europe.
