1. Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)

   Japan*: Held in 47 prefectures, with 193,626 examinees.
   2nd Test (December 5):
   Overseas: Held in 175 cities in 68 countries/regions, with 173,365 examinees.
   Japan*: Held in 47 prefectures, with 175,627 examinees.
   *In Japan, the test is run by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES).
2. The Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese (JFT-Basic)
