This is a report of a symposium entitled “Fostering Peace through Cultural Initiatives: Perspectives from Japan & Germany”, held in Tokyo in May 2009 (organized by the Japan Foundation and the Goethe-Institut, co-organized by the Mainichi Newspapers, and cooperation of Aoyama Gakuin University Joint Research Institute for International Peace and Culture). This report contains 15 articles presented by panelists at the conference, photos of the day, participants profiles, and post-conference remarks.
