The theme of September's monthly display is "Moon"
Though lingering summer heat makes it hard to feel, autumn has begun according to the Japanese calendar. September is also considered the season for moon viewing, but this year's “Chūshū no Meigetsu” (the beautiful moon day in mid-autumn) falls on October 6th, and apparently it won't necessarily be a full moon...
The library is displaying books featuring the moon, including the folktale “Princess Kaguya,” the novel “The Wandering Moon,” the manga “Sailor Moon,” and the picture book “Good Evening, Moon.”
