The Institute provides Japanese-language courses for specialists who require knowledge of the Japanese language for business or academic purposes, such as foreign-service officers, public officials, researchers, graduate students, librarians, curators, and others.

The 6 to 8 month intensive training programs include not only language instruction but also various field trips and exchange activities designed to deepen participants’ understanding of Japanese society and culture.
