The Japan Foundation has reorganized its structure as of April 1, 2022, and the CULCON Secretariat has been transferred from the Center for Global Partnership (CGP) to the newly established Planning and Development Team of Global Partnerships Department.

The Government of Japan announced the 2021 Autumn Conferment of Decoration on Foreign Nationals. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, Honorary Member of CULCON was conferred the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun for dedicating to strengthen the relationship between Japan and the United States.
