Japanese-Language Program for Overseas Students (Outstanding Students)
This program is intended to offer outstanding students of the Japanese language at universities, colleges, and educational institutions abroad the opportunity to visit Japan and to deepen their knowledge of the Japanese language, society, and culture for the purpose of further encouragement of their study.

2 weeks (September)
Eligible Participants
Outstanding students who are studying Japanese at overseas language institutions
- *Participants in this training program are selected based on the recommendation of the Japan Foundation's offices and diplomatic missions in foreign countries. Eligible countries and regions are determined every year by the Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai, based on the number of students studying Japanese.
Training Content
A variety of programs have been prepared to help students to deepen their understanding of Japanese language, culture, and society in a short period of time.
- 1.Japanese Language Class
Home visit guidance, lecture in Kansai dialect, introduction of websites, etc. - 2.Study Trips/Exchange Program
Trips to Kyoto and Hiroshima, home visit, etc. - 3.Cultural Experience Program
Calligraphy, flower arranging, kimono (yukata) wearing, aikido training, etc.
