［Announcement］TIFF Lounge Co-presented by The Japan Foundation & Tokyo International Film Festival

The Japan Foundation will host the TIFF Lounge as part of the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF). Now in its fourth year, the TIFF Lounge, will be held with the advice of committee. Directors from various countries and regions in Asia will gather at the TIFF Lounge to hold masterclass, talks and discussions.

We are pleased to announce that we have finally decided on all of the guests who will be invited to appear in the TIFF Lounge talk sessions. Meanwhile, filmmaker Kore-eda Hirokazu will hold a masterclass for students from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Japan, as a special event under the Asian Film Student Exchange Program.

The Japan Foundation will also cooperate with the Competition, Asian Future and World Focus sections of the TIFF in order to introduce the diverse and abundant film culture of Asia through the screening of numerous appealing films.
