The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Urawa
Japanese-language Institute, Urawa is an affiliated organization of the Japan Foundation and was established in Urawa City (Present Saitama City) in Saitama Prefecture in July 1989.
The institute runs training projects to educate leading human resources of Japanese-language education overseas and assists development & production of Japanese-language educational materials for enriching Japanese-language education overseas. (It also runs "Minna no Kyozai" available on the Internet.)
There is a special library that collects and offers materials and information including Japanese textbooks, Japanese educational materials, Japanese-language education, Japanese-language, linguistics, Japanese affairs, and foreign language education. It is open not only to parties concerned with the Japanese language but also to the general public.

The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai
Japanese-language Institute, Kansai is an affiliated organization of the Japan Foundation and was established at Tajiri-cho, Osaka Prefecture in May 1997.
The institute provides special Japanese-language training to people who require Japanese language for their specific duty or the purpose of research and also Japanese-learners' training in Japan to encourage Japanese-language learners overseas.

The Japan Foundation Kyoto Office
The Japan Foundation Kyoto Office has been organizing ”An Evening of Noh and Kyogen” every Autumn to provide foreigners with an opportunity to experience Japanese traditional culture. With the cooperation of the Shigeyama family of Kyogen as well as the Katayama and Kongo families of Noh, this event started in 1974, the year following the establishment of the Japan Foundation. The 49th staging of this annual event was on December 24, 2022.
