The Japan Foundation (JF) will present “DUMB TYPE | AUDIO VISUAL LIVE 2022: remix” as a special event related to the Japan Pavilion of the 59th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia in 2022. The artist collective Dumb Type, who have garnered acclaim at this exhibition, will bring a live audio-visual performance together for this special night .

Our new installation exhibited at the Japan Pavilion at the La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale) will be adapted into a live theatrical remix format. For this live performance, FURUDATE Ken, MINAMI Takuya, and HAMA Satoshi will embellish and remix music based on the work created by SAKAMOTO Ryuichi, a new member of the group, which was used for an installation shown at the Japan Pavilion. Our creative style, which derives from a single theme to create works in a variety of forms of expression, will continue to change in various ways in the future.
