  • “Digitized Contents Transmission Service for Libraries in Japan,” provided by the National Diet Library, is now available in the JFIC Library
    This service allows Library users to browse digitized materials authorized by the National Diet Library (NDL). The materials are out-of-print items digitized by the NDL, including books, periodicals, and doctoral dissertations previously available only within the NDL premises. In the JFIC Library, the service is available at one designated PC set in the reading room. We also provide the printing service for these items upon request.

  • Featured display in August
    “Japanese Toys” (PDF:254KB)
    The JFIC Library presents a display of books that feature Japanese traditional “toys,” written in Japanese and foreign languages, and “toys” themselves.
    While people today rarely have a chance to play with traditional “toys,” the exhibition offers you an opportunity to encounter everyone’s favorite “toys” that recapture the joy of childhood, and learn its history through the presented books.
