- “Digitized Contents Transmission Service for Libraries in Japan,” provided by the National Diet Library, is now available in the JFIC Library
This service allows Library users to browse digitized materials authorized by the National Diet Library (NDL). The materials are out-of-print items digitized by the NDL, including books, periodicals, and doctoral dissertations previously available only within the NDL premises. In the JFIC Library, the service is available at one designated PC set in the reading room. We also provide the printing service for these items upon request.To see more details, please visit the following link.

“Japanese Toys” (PDF:254KB)
The JFIC Library presents a display of books that feature Japanese traditional “toys,” written in Japanese and foreign languages, and “toys” themselves.
While people today rarely have a chance to play with traditional “toys,” the exhibition offers you an opportunity to encounter everyone’s favorite “toys” that recapture the joy of childhood, and learn its history through the presented books.- Date:

- Book Launch event: From Postwar to Postmodern, Art in Japan 1945-1989: Primary Documents will take place at the JFIC Hall “Sakura” on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 4:00 pm, and the JFIC lounge on the 2nd floor will serve as part of its event space. In this regard, please note that sounds coming from the event may echo through the library on the 1st floor, too.
