Come and explore the fascinating world of Japanese cinema. JFF Plus is now open!

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new website JFF Plus! JFF Plus is a website run by the Japan Foundation aiming to spread Japanese films overseas.

"JFF (Japanese Film Festival)" was first held in 2016 in ASEAN countries and Australia and expanded its area to China and India in 2017 and subsequently to Russia in 2018. In 2019-2020, we held festivals in 56 cities in 12 countries, which were watched by more than 170,000 viewers and shared the excellence of Japanese film with the world.

JFF Plus consists of three sections: Read, Watch, Join. In the “Read” section, we share artist interviews, unique stories, the latest information on Japanese films and much more, as well as keeping you updated on the Japanese movie scene. In the “Watch” section, we will be streaming some of the acclaimed Japanese films. In the “Join” section, we share the past event reports and the details of upcoming screenings.

You can view JFF Plus on a computer with the most recent versions of Chrome, Microsoft Edge (Microsoft Edge 44.17763.831.0 is also available) and Safari. On mobile browser, you can view the website with the most recent versions of Chrome and Safari. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will be able to display the website contents on your computer in November.
