Our sincere congratulations and felicitations on the 50th anniversary of the Japan Foundation Awards, with which the Japan Foundation recognizes outstanding achievements.
The Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association received the Japan Foundation Special Prize in 1985. At that time, we were about to celebrate 30 years since our founding. Our then-President, Inoue Yasushi, said, upon receiving the prize, “This is both an evaluation of our activities over the years and an encouragement, and I am humbled to think of the great expectations for our future.”
This spring, our Association celebrated 67 years since our founding. We hope that we can continue to treasure people-to-people exchange activities, including with the younger generation, in different cultural fields, and will do our best to promote mutual understanding between Japan and China.
