On the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Japan Foundation Awards, as one of the partners of the Japan Foundation, Bina Antarbudaya would like to extend our heartfelt and sincerest congratulations to the Japan Foundation for this remarkable achievement.

As one of the oldest institutions in the field of intercultural learning, Bina Antarbudaya/AFS Indonesia resonates harmoniously with Japan Foundation’s beautiful mission: “Cultivating friendship and ties between Japan and the world” through “Culture”, “Language” and “Dialogue,” creating opportunities to foster friendship, trust and mutual understanding.

The relationship and partnership between the Japan Foundation and Bina Antarbudaya/AFS Indonesia was first established in 1990 when we became the awardee to administer and send students to Japan through an exchange program. This partnership lasted until 2005 and we have sent a total of 50 students to participate in the program.

It is without doubt that the Japan Foundation hard work and exceptional commitment in providing outstanding support to intercultural learning worldwide have affected thousands lives of the people not only the direct awardees, but also the people and the communities surrounding them.

Therefore, we hope that the relationship between our organizations will remain strong and hopefully we can foster a similar program in the future to amplify the very mission that our organizations is pursuing to maintain and ensure world peace.
