Congratulations on the Japan Foundation Awards' 50th anniversary.

We would like to convey our congratulations to the Japan Foundation on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Japan Foundation Award in 2023. In addition, we wish to express our gratitude by recognizing PERSADA as the organization that has significant contribution to fostering friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and Indonesia, particularly in the cognitive and educational domains, in 2019.

The founding mission of our late senior when establishing PERSADA was to bring back to Indonesia the knowledge experiences during our studies in Japan. We also aimed to convey our appreciation to the Indonesian government by actively supporting collaborative projects with Japan. Since its established in 1963, PERSADA has acted as a vital link between Japan and Indonesia, actively hosting cultural exchange programs and actively promotion of Japan - Indonesia relations.

Over the years, The Japan Foundation has played a pivotal role in several major programs of PERSADA. This includes cooperation in administering the Japan Language Proficiency Test since 1984, as well as the the Japanese Language Presentation Competition, initiated in 2022 during the COVID-19 recovery period. Previously, the Japan Foundation collaborated on organizing of a Japanese Language Competition in 2001. One of the most significant aspects of this partnership has been the training provided to our Japanese language lecturers. There are numerous other activities that we were unable to list in detail here.

What brings us the greatest pleasure of earning the Japan Foundation award is that awareness of our activities in Indonesia by the Japanese government and their recognition of our goal to serve a strong bridge between Japan and Indonesia.

As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Japan Foundation award, we believe it is essential, to acknowledge those individuals who have contributed to fostering friendship between Japan and Indonesia through various media.

Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude, we remain committed to actively promote not just Japan and Indonesia, but also striving to understand each other's perspective and addressing each other's shortcoming to prepare the challenging times ahead.
