krage Concert in Laos
～Songs Beyond Borders: Japan & Laos Together～

The Japan Foundation (JF) is organizing a special performance in Laos by singer krage as part of "Partnership to Co-create a Future with the Next Generation: WA Project 2.0", a comprehensive project aimed at promoting exchange among the next generation and developing human resources in Japan and ASEAN countries. krage has gained attention for her performances in multiple languages and crystal-clear vocals, with her cover songs on YouTube attracting over 2.5 million views and earning widespread acclaim both in Japan and internationally. The concert will feature collaborations with local artists and include krage's participation in the Japan Festival organized by the Embassy of Japan in the Lao PDR, where she will perform a mini-concert and take part in a talk session. Through these activities, we aim to introduce the appeal of Japanese artists to Laos, enhance cultural exchange between both countries, and foster future-oriented connections.

Artist Profile

krage

Born in Hokkaido to a Japanese father and a Chinese mother, she grew up surrounded by music from different cultures, which naturally drew her to the charm of music. She started singing seriously in middle school and has since performed ending themes for titles such as the drama The Hunter on the Lonely Hill, the anime Raven of the Inner Palace, Solo Leveling, and Heaven Official's Blessing: Season 2 (Japanese dub). With a focus on ballads, rock, and R&B, she sings in Japanese, Chinese, and English, expressing delicate yet intense emotions through her lyrics, all brought to life by her clear and ethereal voice.
