The New Generation in Contemporary Singaporean Art
Exhibition

This exhibition introduced Japanese audiences to artworks by two young Singaporean artists. “Baet Yeok Kuan attempts to describe the cycle of human life and the natural world in an exhaustive examination that sheds light on the questions of life and death, while Lim Poh Teck imbues an undulating mesh of lines with an inexhaustible living energy to create candid portrayals of people going about their daily lives.” (From Nakamura Hideki’s contribution to the exhibition catalogue.)
