Maintaining an artist practice since the mid-1970s, Edgar Talusan Fernandez is also known in the Philippines for his political activism. Painting in a socialist-realist style, he has also been described as an artist as witness and seer. His art brings into relief the image of the Philippines—a multiethnic country that is still embroiled in social issues such as civil conflicts. This exhibition featured 19 paintings.
