The 59th International Speech Contest in Japanese

The Japan Foundation hosts the 59th International Speech Contest in Japanese in cooperation with International Education Center and Iki City, Nagasaki Prefecture. (The outline is described below.)
We look forward to your active participation in the contest.

This contest is open to all and admission is free.
We are looking forward to a large number of applications.
(The contest is scheduled to be broadcasted on NHK Educational TV.)

Date Saturday, May 26, 2018
Starting time: 1:00 p.m.
Venue Iki-no-shima Hall Access
Iki City, Nagasaki Prefecture
Qualifications Applicants must fulfill all of the following conditions:
  1. 1)native language other than Japanese
  2. 2)15 years of age or older as of the contest day
  3. 3)never won the Foreign Minister’s Award, or the Education Minister’s Award at the past contests
