The 59th International Speech Contest in Japanese

The Japan Foundation, in cooperation with International Education Center and Iki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, hosts the 59th International Speech Contest in Japanese to be held on May 26, 2018.
Twelve participants from 11 countries have been chosen out of 105 contestants from 27 countries/regions in the preliminary round to participate in the Contest.
The participants will make interesting speeches on what they think and how they feel through their daily lives in Japan and exchanges with Japanese people.
This contest is admission-free and open to the public.
We hope to see a large audience at Iki-no-shima Hall, Iki City.
(The contest is scheduled to be broadcasted on the NHK Educational TV at 3:00 p.m., June 23.)
