Cultural Cooperation Project in Visual Arts RUN & LEARN: New Curatorial Constellations in four countries in Southeast Asia

The Japan Foundation organizes 14 individual art projects in nine cities in four Southeast Asian countries as the result of the curatorial development program, which has been carried out since the fiscal year 2013 as part of the cultural cooperation program in visual arts.

This program offered the curators' workshops in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand (February - June, 2014) and the invitation program to Japan (August - September, 2014) for the curators whose proposals were successfully selected at the preceding workshops. Based on the experience gained through the course of the program, 14 emerging curators from Southeast Asia and Japan elaborate their proposals to realize the projects in diverse formats such as exhibitions, performances, and screenings at their respective locations from December 2014 to February 2015.
